Nice, the Acorn Electron is a great little machine! I’ve run into the same issue with .SSD files before. You can use tools like UEF Editor or try out BeebEm or B-EM to load the .SSD files and then save them in .UEF format. I’ve done this when I was cross-developing with BeebAsm, and it worked fine for me. It's a pretty simple process once you get the hang of the tools, so hopefully, it’ll make your retro programming even smoother!
