32-bit acorn hardware • Re: A3000 networking card by Atomwide (1993) - problem!

I am guessing that the EPROM on the card has become corrupted. I don't know whether the black electrical tape on top of it is a sign that an original sticker fell off and the ROM was corrupted by UV light. Interestingly, when I removed the EPROM from the card and switched on the computer there were no boot problems; it went to the desktop as usual. When I typed *podules it appeared under Podule 1 as 'Simple podule &F'. I have inspected the legs of the podule for cracked/dry joints but it's fine.

On closer inspection and comparing photos with those at Chris's Acorns it seems be an Acorn AEH72 Access A3000, a rebadged Atomwide; there is no physical difference (https://chrisacorns.computinghistory.or ... A3000.html). If only I could get a copy of one of those ROMs, but I suppose that is nigh on impossible!
