Thanks Stephen, much appreciatedThe Beeb will never report that extra memory on startup. It'll either say 16K or 32K. And it only says that on power up or control-break; on a normal break it won't report size at all.
That's an original STL board that connects to the user port in order to write.
So you can do something likeNow on control-break the ROM loaded will be visible.Code:

On the 128K board, it handles banks 8 to 15.
If I remember correctly, the two ROM sockets on the board can handle 32K ROMs and go in slots 4/5 and 6/7
