8-bit acorn software: other • GEM Mouse Buttons

Hi

I have successfully brought an original Acorn two button mouse back to life, or so I thought......please read on.

It was a speculative auction purchase initially described as 'mouse only works horizontally not vertically'.

After an easy fix, thorough clean and a bit of retrobrighting, I was keen to test it out in full using GEM in my M512.

All good with respect too using the mouse left hand button however the right hand mouse button doesn't appear to do anything?

It could be me just expecting a right click to bring up something like a 'properties' or 'contextual menu' similar to that in Windows.

I have had a look through my M512 User Guide around page 13, the left hand button is described in detail but there is nothing in there to indicate what the right hand button does.

So my newbie question is;

Does the right hand mouse button work or do anything in a M512 GEM context?
