acorn atom and acorn system series • Re: 2x CPU Clock - Chuckie Egg & Colour Test

My first guess is that the 8255 is not fast enough. Recently somebody on this forum got good results with a 82C55 in a 2 MHz Atom.

Try another brand 8255 if you have any spares.
