I've a couple of Acorn AKA12 MIDI podules. Casually noticed one has a 10K mod resistor on the back, the other doesn't.
It looks bodgey, so I assumed it was a user bodge and was considering removing it, but then I noted the same mod in a picture of one CJE's selling on eBay...
So off we pop down the rabbit hole. 10K from ground to pin 7 of the optocoupler which was otherwise left floating.
I'm guessing this just biasses the thing off and the floating pin was causing some unwanted output - what do others think? Should I add the 10K to the other AKA12?
