I’ve never heard of anyone saying this before and to add to your misery….
Quite literally and with no exaggeration, I haven’t readjusted my main module since 2019 (!) and its still on the same battery from 2018. When I recently switched on again after not even using said I2C Beeb for about 18 months, the RTC module was about 15 seconds slow.
This is the one I bought, I think through a UK ebay seller but I can’t remember who. In fact, the ebay listing snip is in the I2C 4 U manual but I seem to have occulted the seller’s name
…but there’s not much in the way of any specific id marking to help. Maybe other electronics users on the forum can suggest safe places to buy assuming your suspicions of a hooky device are correct?
