… The Quadbike update remains unfinished so far.
Is software ever finished? You're doing great work, and Quadbike's doing some pretty deep digging into (potentially manky) tape signals to recover all it can. Thank you!

But now I've got the UEF from my tape, dangit but the last program is corrupted, somehow missing off a leading $dc byte. So I'll never get to see what MESSAGE on the Welcome tape says from this tape (I'm fine). So I'll try again.

I was surprised that two UEF files, different at the binary level, appear to be able to produce the same data when LOAD ""ed into a computer. Is there a way of cataloguing/CRCing UEF contents so one could see if the file was good (or at least the same, from a Beeb's point of view) compared to another?
(and Diminished, please don't feel you need to answer this. You're busy, and I don't even know what I don't know.)
I could send you MakeUEF V2.4 by e-mail if you want. I think someone hosted it a while ago. I have been making V2.5. It has some new feature but nothing that compelling to release it yet.
Thanks for the offer, but I doubt I have anywhere to run it. I have no Windows machines here, and most of my machines don't do WINE at all well.
