But it may have yielded a new clue, perhaps.
Neither cap was too far out of spec, one was about 5% high and the other 20% low. Both had ESR values which seemed high at 10 ohms approx.
There are still no sync signals but the machine no longer boots as it once did - there is no beep any more. Whatever weak grasp it had on life has been disturbed - what could I have done, I wonder?
