I've updated the download in the earlier post. It's now an .adl file plus I've changed it to use the original !Boot file.
You're right about the index, just user error: I was, for example, typing "*22" which takes you to page 22, rather than just "22" which takes you (via page 2) to page 41a "Teletsoftware explained"!
This all seems to work ok in BeebEm (emulating BBC Master).
